Professor Dr. Serdar Baki Albayrak, who practices in the Department of Neurosurgery, completed his medical degree at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine from 1991 to 1998. He then completed his specialization in Neurosurgery at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurosurgery, from 1998 to 2004, earning the title of Neurosurgery Specialist.

His areas of interest include treatments for various conditions, such as epilepsy, brain tumors, and deep brain stimulation surgeries (for Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, and tremors), as well as tumor surgery, pain management, microsurgery, and innovative procedures like Gamma Knife. He has also specialized in epilepsy surgery, microsurgical treatment of brain tumors, and treatment of cerebral vascular malformations and aneurysms.

Professor Dr. Serdar Baki Albayrak has worked as a surgical and research physician abroad, including at Harvard University Hospital in the United States and Helsinki University Hospital in Finland.

As a surgeon who utilizes the most advanced methods provided by medical technology, Dr. Albayrak has received extensive training in many of the procedures he performs in the United States and Europe. In addition to the education he received in Turkey, Dr. Albayrak has successfully completed numerous international training programs and studies, gaining patient treatment experience in 59 different countries around the world and earning various certifications. He has expertise in tumour surgery and conducted cancer research, gaining knowledge of innovative treatments in neurosurgery.
