• Chiari malformation and spina bifida surgery
• Skull base tumors and advanced skull base microsurgery.

Prof. Dr. Albayrak has served as a surgical and research physician at several prestigious international institutions, including Harvard University Hospital (USA) and Helsinki University Hospital (Finland).

As a neurosurgeon who integrates cutting-edge medical technologies into clinical practice, he has completed numerous advanced training programs across the United States and Europe, gaining extensive patient treatment experience in 63 countries worldwide and earning multiple international certifications.

His expertise is particularly focused on tumor surgery, functional neurosurgery, vascular and skull base surgery, and innovative treatment strategies for complex neurological diseases. Prof. Dr. Albayrak is internationally recognized for his contributions to neuro-oncology, functional neurosurgery, and minimally invasive surgical innovations.

Neurosurgical Operations

  1. Brain Tumors
I perform advanced surgeries to remove brain tumors while prioritizing the protection of brain functions and ensuring the best possible recovery.

  2. Spinal Cord and Spine Tumors
I specialize in surgeries for spinal cord and spine tumors, aiming to remove the tumor safely and help patients regain their quality of life.

  3. Aneurysms
I treat aneurysms using open or minimally invasive methods to prevent rupture and protect the brain.

  4. Arteriovenous Malformations (AVMs)
My focus is on safely treating AVMs to reduce the risk of bleeding and prevent further complications.

  5. Arteriovenous Fistulas
I correct arteriovenous fistulas through precise surgical techniques to restore healthy blood flow.

  6. Cavernomas
I remove cavernomas using minimally invasive approaches to prevent seizures and improve neurological health.

  7. Epilepsy Surgery (Selective Amygdala-Hippocampectomy)
For patients with epilepsy, I perform selective amygdala-hippocampectomy to control seizures while preserving memory and cognitive abilities.

  8. Epilepsy Surgery (Vagal Nerve Stimulation, VNS)
I offer VNS surgery to help reduce the frequency and intensity of seizures in epilepsy patients.

  9. Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS)
I perform DBS surgeries for Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, and dystonia to provide significant symptom relief and improve daily living.

  10. Pain Surgery (Spinal Cord Stimulator)
I implant spinal cord stimulators to help manage chronic pain and improve patients’ comfort.

  11. Spasticity Surgery (Device Implantation)
I offer surgical solutions for severe spasticity, using specialized devices to improve mobility and reduce muscle stiffness.

  12. Spasticity Surgery (Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy)
I perform selective dorsal rhizotomy to reduce spasticity and enhance movement control in patients.

  13. Spina Bifida Surgery
I provide corrective surgeries for spina bifida to minimize complications and improve developmental outcomes.

  14. Tethered Cord Surgery
I treat tethered cord syndrome to relieve spinal cord tension and prevent further nerve damage.

  15. Hydrocephalus
I manage hydrocephalus with procedures like shunt placement or ETV to relieve pressure in the brain.

  16. Chiari Malformation
I perform surgeries to decompress the brain and spinal cord in Chiari malformation cases, alleviating symptoms and preventing damage.

  17. Syringomyelia
I treat syringomyelia by draining the syrinx to relieve pressure on the spinal cord and improve function.

  18. Facial Pain and Spasms
I use microvascular decompression surgery to treat trigeminal neuralgia, glossopharyngeal neuralgia, and facial hemispasm, relieving pain and improving quality of life.

  19. Microdiscectomy
I perform microdiscectomy surgeries to relieve pressure on spinal nerves and alleviate pain in the neck and back.

  20. Spinal Stabilization
I correct spinal fractures and instability through advanced fixation and fusion techniques.

  21. Odontoid Fractures
I treat odontoid fractures with anterior screwing to stabilize the cervical spine and promote healing.

  22. Peripheral Nerve Surgery
I address peripheral nerve issues, such as carpal tunnel syndrome and brachial plexus injuries, to restore function and reduce discomfort.
